Hey, I'm Chu The Producer. Over three decades ago, I made the tough decision to leave the group Quick Trouble to focus on my education and college basketball. While I built an impressive basketball career, winning a national championship and multiple provincial titles, I always felt a void. The members of Quick Trouble went on to write hits for artists like Pink and Jamie Foxx, and I couldn't help but wonder, "What if?"
In 2016, I dove back into music with a passion, and in 2017, I won the People’s Choice Award at the Edmonton Music Awards. Since then, I've been on a musical journey, collaborating with artists worldwide, including 2 GRAMMY winners and a pair of JUNO nominees. I'm also writing songs for major label artist placements. Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too?
Music is my lifeline. I create from the heart, chronicling my life journey and those close to me. As an artist, songwriter, producer, and DJ from Canada, I've had the pleasure of working with talents from Canada, the United States, Argentina, Israel, and Nigeria.
I bring a refreshing blend of styles to my music, pushing the limits of industry norms. Known for infectious hooks and engaging lyrics, I seamlessly maneuver through genres, focusing on Pop and Urban. I work with a diverse range of vocalists to capture the perfect sound for my productions and writing.
When I'm not making music, you can catch me spinning tracks at weddings, soaking up the vibes at local concerts or theatre performances, or just enjoying quality time with my family.
